The Hardest Virtue

Patience is a virtue. Ever heard that? I have. And I hate it. Mostly because I struggle with it. I was praying about patience in my life this morning and started thinking about this simple statement. Patience is a virtue. We all know what patience is. It is the capacity, habit, or act of.....

E-Town Boyee

Hey guys. So we weren’t gonna have a service on Wednesday and Sunday this week. But if you have been following the tour, you know that doesn’t mean much. So we found a church to park at on Wednesday night in Elizabethtown KY. They asked me to speak at their church picnic. Then they asked me to go on a canoe trip with the youth group tomorrow. On top of that, they asked me to speak Sunday at church. Its pretty crazy how it goes. The youth group here is awesome. I am having a blast getting to hang out with them for a few days. A lot of the places I go, I just show up and speak, hang out after service for a bit, then I am gone the next day. Getting to spend some time talking and hanging out with them is awesome. So much fun. And a big chunk of them are going to GC in Orlando too, so I get to see em again soon. Love my life.

Here's Your Sign

Made it into Louisville Kentucky today at Trinity Chapel. I thinks its funny when I see myself on church signs. But its cool too....I am famous on this street. Yay!

Anyways. So hot outside. It is definitely summer early. Got to hang out with Pastor Scott and his family. The youth pastor Beau was there too. Had some Cuban food for dinner. I lived for a while in Miami so it takes really good cuban food to impress me, and this stuff was good. Man I love tostones. But I am still looking forward to a churasco steak at Sergios in Miami. Not to long now. Can’t believe how far I have come. I am almost to the last 2 months. Crazy. I am now starting to book and plan for the 2010 tour. I will release the theme and route soon. Hope you guys have a great holiday weekend. I know I will. Oh, and since so many of you are asking, at the end of the tour I will post a service in its entirety for you to watch. Love ya.....all you creepers out there reading my blog.

Rockin the Oneighty

Hey there guys. Having a good time. Back in Indiana at my buddy Eric Pio and Pastor Chuck Lynch’s church. Its in Madison Indiana. The youth service last night was awesome. Had a blast. As soon as service was over a couple girls came running out to Gerty to tell me about how God spoke to them and how they were gonna change the world. Made my day. Rode into Madison with a man from the church named Dan. It was great to have company on the ride for once. I will tell you one thing. Summer is here. It is soooooo hot. I have a feeling it is only gonna get hotter. Anyways. Heading to Louisville KY next. Catch on the flip side g-money cuz.

My new GF Cally

Had a blast the last couple days in Michigan. Got to hang out with Tom and Jen Broyles. They are old friends from Lakeland. I have pic of me with their daughter Cally when she was one day old. So it was so fun hangin out with her and flirting now that she is four. So cute. The service last night went awesome. The students there were great. They really responded to what God wanted from them. I know they are gonna change the world. This tour is great. I can honestly say that this tour has been incredible so far. We are seeing students all over the country decide to jump up and try and change the world. They message me on facebook, myspace, and twitter everyday about how they are “Filling In The Blank”. Thanks to all of you helping make this thing a reality, and for all you students....keep it up.

New Axle

So Gerty has been having some problems. Last week the rear wheels started making a lot of noises, shaking, and not driving really well. Then a couple days ago the wheel started making a horrible noise. Blaise and I thought it was a wheel bearing. So today we drove up near Detroit to a shop that works on RV’s. Turns out we were right. It was a bad wheel bearing. Unfortunately, the axle shaft was busted too. So what would have been a one hour job was a 6 hour job. The part was really hard to find too. But the guys at Superior Auto and Truck in Belleville Michigan did an awesome job. A special thanks to Jerry and Cindy. Jerry is this old timer mechanic. He was awesome. He was swearing and smoking in front of me all morning. Then he asked what I was doing and why. I got to talk with him for a while about God. I even helped him install the new axle. The funny part was how after we talked, he swore again, then immediately apologized. Gotta love God working. Haha. So Gerty has a new axle. She is driving so much better too. Now, I have to rush back to Temperance Michigan for a youth service at Everfree Youth. Should be awesome.

Clean bikes are good bikes

I spent like 4 hours yesterday cleaning and fixing up all my bikes. You see, I have 4 bikes on the road, but I am only riding 2 of them most of the time. So the other two are just sitting on the back of the rv. They all get dirty, so I had to take all 4 bikes apart and clean em and lube up all the gears. Fun stuff. Cant wait to ride today. It is so nice to ride on a clean and lubed bike. I am gonna have to get some new chains and cassettes this week for some of the bikes too. I got to keep the up keep going on my bikes. Trying to make sure they are good. Especially the one that I am giving away at General Council in Orlando in August. Fun times.

On da radio

Had a great service last nite in Bluffton Ohio. Thanks Pastor Terry and everyone at Tri-County Assembly. This morning they had me on WTGN radio. It was a blast. Got to talk to a bunch of people all over Ohio. Fun stuff. It was weird tho. I was in one room and the DJ was in another room. So I had to listen to it all on headphones. It was fun, but it felt weird. I think they are gonna be putting it on there site to download soon too.

Summit City Bicycles

I had a bad day....I was having a problem with my wheels. The other day I rode through Chicago and hit a ton of potholes. I thought my rear wheel was out of true (not perfectly round). That means that I had to put it on my trueing stand and adjust the spokes to fix it. Thats when I realized that my rear rim was bent. Yesterday I went to Summit City Bicycles to buy some new tires. They were great and helped me a ton, so I went back to them today. They hooked me up. Fixed my rim for me, and gave me a new spoke tool for my rims. Barry and Mason were great. If you are in Fort Wayne Indiana and need something, go see those guys. They even gave me a couple water bottles. Guys, the bike rides great now. Thanks so much.

Sergeant Jesus

Today was a good day. Headed out of St. John Indiana. Before we left I found out we picked up a last minute service in Fort Wayne for tomorrow night. Should be a good time. So if you live there, head to First A/G on Wednesday night. On our way out of town Blaise and I stopped at Taco Bell for a highly nutritious and healthy lunch. Haha. On our way out there was a guy in an Army outfit walking in. He saw my riding clothes and asked if Gerty was ours. We got to talking and it turns out he is a recruiter in Indiana. He also happens to know Jesus. In two ways. He asked Jesus Christ to save him and live in his heart....and his last name is Jesus. It was really cool to stand there and talk with him for a while about what we are doing. I mean, last week I talked about finding Jesus in the driveway....and now I am finding Jesus in a parking lot.....literally. Before we left he asked if he could pray with us. So awesome. I love meeting people that have a heart to change the world. You see guys, you dont have to be a pastor to make a difference. You make a difference wherever you happen to be at the moment. School, work, the Army, or even at a Taco Bell. We gave him a shirt before we left. He said he would read this later. So Julian: thanks for the encouragement. You are awesome, and I can see in just the few minutes that I talked with you that God is using you where you are. Keep it up. And for the rest of you....keep looking.....you never know where you might find Jesus.

Live Long & Prosper

I had a blast today. First, I spoke at Harvest Ridge Church in St. John Indiana. Such a great service. It is mothers day, so I got to talk to my mom for a while on the phone. Its also her birthday, so even tho I said it to you earlier. I love you mom....you are prettiest 65 year old I have ever met. ;) Then this afternoon me and Blaise went to the mall. I need a new pair of shoes, but cant find any I like. Actually I did find some I like, just not in my size. Oh well. Then tonight, we went and saw the new Star Trek movie. It was incredible. Not only is the movie awesome, but we saw it on an IMAX screen. So it was like 6 times bigger than a normal movie screen and had the best sound in the world. SO GOOD. Anyways, I am gonna post a video soon. Im tired. Goodnite.

Learn more in the driveway than the church

Tonight was awesome. Got to hang out with some great people. John and Deanna Kitchen. They were leaders in my youth group growing up. Had dinner at their house. They were such an important part of my life, and it was really really good to spend some time with them. There kids are huge and it made me feel old. I used to carry Drew and Meagan around when they were toddlers. Now Drew is in college and Meagan is 17. Crazy. I spent some time in the driveway with them telling them about what God has done on the tour so far. How God has taken care of me, and let us keep doing what He wants even when it seems impossible. How the faith that i have now, is so much bigger than what I had in the past. Later me and John stood in his basement, and he told me how sometimes is seems that God works just as well, or better in the driveway as He does in church. Thought that was awesome. Guys, it doesn’t matter where you are.....God can do awesome things right there. You don’t need to wait for the perfect time or place. Cuz if you do....your just gonna keep waiting. It’s never perfect....just go for the things that you know He wants you to do. God loves driveways, schools, workplaces, airplanes, even bathrooms. Just make a difference. Love you Kitchens.

PS. Sarah, I cant wait to see you Wednesday. Miss you soooooo much. Kisses.

Church Plants Rock

Spoke today in Poplar Grove, IL at The Grove Church. Brian Phillips, an old buddy from Rockford, started the church a couple years ago. It was a great service. They had the youth band lead worship...and they rocked it out. So much fun. Afterwards I went to the Anderson’s for lunch. It was an old friend weekend I guess. Dawn Menken was there. Got to see her parents too. Just a great day.
